The 32000-28-05-05-060-00-02 is a 32000 Metric Proximity Probe Housing Assembly designed for externally mounting proximity probes through the machine case. This housing is recommended for radially mounted transducers used in vibration and Keyphasor measurements. It allows external access to the proximity probe and extension cable, permitting gap adjustment or probe replacement without machine disassembly.
The housing is made of glass-reinforced polyphenylene sulfide (PPS) thermoplastic containing conductive fibers, providing excellent corrosion resistance and high strength. Other components are made of corrosion-resistant stainless steel. The assembly is fully compliant with the American Petroleum Institute's (API) 670 Standard for externally mounted proximity probe housings.
When installed with an approved transducer system and appropriate intrinsically safe barriers, the 32000 housing can be used in hazardous area applications. Note that this housing provides mechanical and environmental protection only and is not explosion-proof. For explosion-proof applications, use CA21000 or CA24701 housings.
