Product Overview

The ABB IMMFP11 is a rack-mounted multifunction processor used for multiple-loop analog control, sequential logic, batch processing and advanced process-control strategies. It receives data from compatible analog and digital rack I/O modules through the I/O Expander Bus, executes the configured control logic and sends calculated commands back to the process I/O system. IMMFP11 uses a 32-bit processor operating at 16 MHz. Its onboard memory consists of 256 KB ROM, 256 KB RAM and 64 KB NVRAM. The nonvolatile memory supports retention of control-related information when normal system power is interrupted.Within the control architecture, IMMFP11 communicates with other rack controllers through Controlway. Communication with higher-level control-network nodes is provided through the appropriate rack communication modules. The processor also supports external serial devices when the required termination hardware is installed.
