A Xiamen Tradition Inside Our Workplace
The Mid-Autumn Festival is a time for reunion, gratitude and sharing. In Xiamen, it also brings one of the city’s most distinctive traditions: Bo Bing, a game played with six dice and a porcelain bowl.
Colleagues gather around the table, take turns rolling and compete for traditional prize levels. The highest honour is known as Zhuangyuan.
Its appeal does not come from the dice alone. Every roll draws the whole table into the moment, turning individual results into a shared celebration.
